Tracy Forner Signs Off Tomorrow
WXIN is losing an early morning co-anchor. The Star's Susan Guyett has the scoop:
Tracy Forner, the early morning co-anchor at WXIN Channel 59 for the past five years, will sign off Thursday after his contract was not renewed.
That means Angela Ganote will be doing the morning broadcast with subs until Forner’s replacement, Scott Jones, joins the Fox Station in mid-April from KJRH (Channel 2), the NBC station in Tulsa, Okla.
Forner is the second longtime Indianapolis newsman to go off the air in a week. Ray Cortopassi of WRTV (Channel 6) left the station on March 21 after his contract ended without being renewed.
I cant believe you let Tracy go. This new guy Scott has the personality of a used car salesman.
Bad decision Fox but who cares about the viewing public, right? You probably saved a few bucks.

I tried watching the morning news for a week now. I'm not actually opposed to Scott, but i really can't stand the habit he has looking at Angela when she's talking. At least he doesn't say much.
I wish they would get Tracy back.

I can't suffer through another second of Scott Jones. What was FOX thinking? He is terrible! He acts like a guy acting like an anchor in a really bad movie. "This just in..." kinda thing. What a mistake. Tracy Forner made the show watchable. It is obvious he controlled the chitchat and writing on the show because now there is no good banter and some stories they read don't even make sense. What a shame. It sucks now.

Okay Fox this was such a poor decision on your behalf. I have watched fox59 am, since Clarence Reynolds and Gordanna Greene was there. I was there Cody Stark did the weather and Kat Sadlier was. Tracy added class, humor and sincerity to the morning show. This Scott dude just makes me turn the channel. So now I watch an hour of another local station morning news , instead of 3 to 4 hours of fox59am. Then after that the Disney channel with my Granddaughter. I still email Cody Stark and occasionally Kat Sadlier and sometimes Shireen Sandovl. But losing Tracy is certainly a mistake. If comes another local station thats the one I will watching permentaly. Is Anglea Gnote next. ??????...

Who is makeing the dission at FOX59 to let Tracey Forner go. I have watch your show from the being. And your job should be check because Tracey and Anglia were our locial morning news together.Please send the bad b actor back!AND GET ME SOME TRACY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Fox 59, you've done it again! Tracy Forner is a personable, committed and obviously caring person. Not only did your station lose, but the viewing public lost as well. My family and I will truly miss Tracy but hope he has moved on to a better opportunity. Tracy: namaste!

Tracy come back. If Fox won't take you back please work at an other station so we can see you and the home zone. I have switched to 6 but it's not very good. Everything in the morning is boring now.

I am disappointed with the new set-up. Tracy and Angela had an enjoyable chemistry that was very comfortable to watch. Time for me to move on before Angela and Jim O Brien do.

Is Scott Jones related to someone important at Fox ? He is so stiff and uncomfortable to watch, it's like watching a bad actor... Fox you lost me as a viewer when you let Tracy go. Where is Tracy ? I hope someone local picks him up, so I can wake up with him.

FOX 59 WAS THE ONLY NON-STIFFY NEWS TO WATCH IN THE MORNING. I have a hard time believing that Scott Jones is "all that" as a replacement for Tracy Forner. He either came super cheap or someone owed someone a favor. Tracy forner should never have been replaced in the first place. I bet the male, middle aged, paunchy, probably balding power mongers at Fox were jealous of a good looking, clever competent dude like Tracy so they brought in a guy as average as they are. Tracy go network baby so the whole country can appreciate you.

As I has been working out of the area for the past four months,I was certainly surprised that Tracy was no longer with the station. He and Angela were thye only reason to watch the Fox 59 morning news. Now that I have returned, I'll be switching to news on 13.

I'm really disappointed that Tracy is gone. I echo what everyone else recognized, too--he and Angela seemed to have such great chemistry and the banter was terrific. Now I might as well watch 13 since the personality is gone from Fox.

Tracy and Angela are the best. They're carefree and fun attitude is what made Fox 59 the best new program. The new guy, Scott, I am sure he is a nice person, but trust me I grew up watching Ft. Wayne news and he just never appealed to me then or now. I am sure Scott has a contact and Tracy is probably long gone, but Fox 59 stop shaking things up when they are working so well!

Fox, what are you thinking getting rid of Tracy? Did someone have a brain freeze? He was the BEST thing that show had going. And this new guy, Scott Jones. At least that is his name today? What will it be tomorrow? Hmmmm....if you are stupid enough to watch, maybe you will find out. I'm not watching!!!! That was a poor move FOX. Did someones ego get in the way? Is someone jealous? Tracy is an awesome anchor!! I'm sure somone soon will benefit from his talent. I wish him the best.
For the pale new guy....I think you should start with a makeover with him. Pale and no personality....well at least you can get him some color, but the personality, well, I guess that is what FOX wants....good luck with that. BRING TRACY BACK!!!

The new guy at 59 is an absolute TROLL and he belongs at the circus not on the Fox Morning show. Plus, without Tracy's charm and banter, Angela has turned into a Stepford Wife.
I have now switched to 13 and still miss my daily Forner Fix. The managment at Fox 59 couldn't manage a McDonald's!
