Longtime Indy Star Reporter Accepts Position With Indianapolis Public Schools

The Star is losing veteran Indianapolis Public Schools reporter Kim Hooper to the entity she's been covering all these years. She will leave the Star on Jan. 6 to become the assistant director of school and community relations at IPS.

Congratulations, Kim. As for you, Indianapolis Star, this is your loss. More institutional knowledge out the door. Another empty desk you probably won't fill. Because, unfortunately for us, most of your shareholders don't read your daily product. If they did, you might try harder to keep reporters and to give them the resources they need to do their jobs.
