An Odd New Twist: Democrats Support Animal Cruelty, So Vote For, Uh, Dickerson

Doxie_1Not to waste any more of Eric Dickerson's 15 minutes, but this honestly has to be the strangest and most illogical e-mail TDW has ever received, especially considering Dickerson's arrest for cruelty to people.

Poor Puppy TDW is probably at home quaking in her doxie boots knowing that Democrats support beating animals:

"ARE YOU AGAINST CRUELTY TO ANIMALS?

"Animals got a friend in District 7. His name is Eric Dickerson.

"Dickerson is leading the polls., but the second is three points behind him.

"Dickerson could be the first Congress person who supports Animal Rights.

"Most Democrats support cruelty to Animals.

"Indiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) asks you to help us elect Dickerson.

"Most politicians don't care for Animal Rights.

"It 's time.

"This election could be a referendum. If you vote for Dickerson, it means you are against cruelty to animals. If you vote for a Democrat in District 7, it means you support cruelty to animals."

Comments

Is the email really from the ISPCA? I find that so hard to believe.

More importantly, has ED even said word one about cruelty to animals?

It came from ISPCA@aol.com.

Their website, ispca.org, appears to have a lot of pro-GOP stuff, including this e-mail, on it, so I'm inclined to think it's from the group.

Whether the group has much to do with protecting animals is another thing.

Damn, TDW, remind me to never piss you off...you'll print everything...my domain address and all!

I got this email, too. I get regular ISPCA and Humane Society stuff, being an animal lover.

The e-mail looked as if it was from the same source as my other pro-animal emails in the past.

I read it and quickly deleted it.

Let's start a rumor: this, too, is a tool of the wicked Devos Amway billionaires, in their ever-reaching attempt to dominate politics, by electing Kathryn Densborn and Dick Devos in Indiana and Mich., respectively.

Money can buy anything.

W. T. F. ? Is this for real? 'Most Democrats support cruelty to animals'? TDW never struck me as the type who would kick a puppy. Not even a Republican puppy. Again, I ask, WTF? This is crazy, weird, odd, bizarre, surreal . . . Dickerson signed off on this?

TDW, is this one of your "it's Friday and I'm bored" things?

It is Friday, but I'm not bored. Just extremely tired.

And no, I'd never kick a puppy.

I would and have within the past two days kicked a puppy off the bed by placing her gently on the floor because she insists on sleeping in the small of my back, which is not very conducive to getting much rest.

The beauty of having a dog with four-inch legs is that she can't get back on the bed without permission.

I love beating the poop out of something that has nothing but love and devotion for its owner. When I come home from a bad day at work and I get greeted by the puppy dog eyes and waging tail nothing more please me then a good swift kick to its face. I'm such a Democrat. Throwing sarcasm here. I love animals more so then people anymore. At least they love me and don't stab me in the back. ;)

Good grief! Has anyone made a phone call to this idiot? I have a weiner dog, and a poodle. I like animals much more than people and I'm a democrat. We need to find out the scoop on this guy.

Disconnected phone.....I'm shocked I tell ya!

"W. T. F. ? Is this for real? 'Most Democrats support cruelty to animals'?"

Look at the facts:

Center township supports Dems.
Center township has the highest number of dog fights and abuse to animals.

Dems must support dog fighting and abusing animals.

I will say that I admire the position, in a way. It's hooey, sure, but with as much innuendo hinting at and suggesting the terrible things that will happen if the other party wins, it's refreshing to see an attack at that doesn't mince words.

Also, inspired by this email, let me be the first to suggest that TDW hold a 'most adorable/lovable/non-kickable? democrat pet contest as the next open thread. Winner gets enough "awwws" to be sick with cuteness for a week.

Nice reach Ravekid but this is truly one of the most pathetic attempts to get votes that I have ever seen. I'm really kind of embarrassed for ya'll. As for Mr.Monchburg, maybe Ruth Holiday can give us some background to this. She has links on her site for him. What do you know Ruth?

Look at more "facts" using Rave's logic:

Rave usually posts only idiotic remarks.

It's Friday. He rarely posts on weekends, it seems.

Therefore, TGIF.

Rave,

A few questions:
Do you mean per capita or total?
How does that compare to republican-supporting, similarly-sized cities in other states?

I can't help but think that the largest urban area in any state, regardless of partisan control/support, is always going to have worse problems with animal cruelty compared to less populated areas.

This is a one-person show at the so-called ISPCA who also endorsed Kris Kiser in the Democratic Primary - his website is a freakazoid delight.

My pets all endorse Julia Carson! I have a beautiful picture of Ms. Carson holding a playful puppy...

Let me be the first Democrat to nominate my own cats as "the most non-kickable Democratic pets in Indy"

http://flickr.com/photos/hoosierplew/224750117/in/set-72057594143315586/

I couldn't get the ISPCA website to come up either.

"I can't help but think that the largest urban area in any state, regardless of partisan control/support, is always going to have worse problems with animal cruelty compared to less populated areas."

Urban areas are usually democratic, so why don't Dems do something to help the animals?

That's brilliant reasoning, Ravekid. Let's all spread the word that PETA wants a Republican Majority!

Whatever happened to the people back in the 1990s who registered the original PETA domain as People Eating Tasty Animals... that was classic.

Right Ravekid - because there are so many farms with starving horses located on them in Marion County.

Is this group a non-profit? If so they should not be endorsing candidates

once again rave proves the first rule of logic:
anything can be concluded from a false presumption

The Humane Society U.S.A. gave our Indianapolis Congresslady Julia Carson an 85% approval rating based on her actual votes. Most labor, womens, peace, environmental, gay, education, etc organizations praise her very highly.

My doggies give her a 100% rating!

This one-man-band ISPCA was the sole endorser of Kris Kiser - now it seems to be the sole endorser of Republican Eric Dickerson - they certainly know how to pick the losers, dont they? I hope they dont have such bad luck with their own animals!

my gf, who knows a thing or two about non-profits, looked into the ISPCA and concluded that they do not have tax-exempt status (i.e. they're not registered with the IRS as a non-profit). thus they can say and endorse what they want, no matter how poorly spelled. (seriously, ispca.org isn't just ugly; it's downright riddled with typos.)

HEY TDW: Where is your posting about Mark Sullivan (Democrat member of the Marion County Election Board) being "overlooked" by two former State police investigators as a suspect in a MURDER while he was the Pike County Prosecutor???? Their oversight led to their being INDICTED. (If you don't think it's the same Mark Sullivan, just check the facts presented in today's Indy Star article against Sullivan's own bio on the Tabbart Hahn website). HMMMMmmm. It seems that you are rather selective in your choice of blog topics. :)

who is this crazy mark sullivan f*ck TDW?

Ravekid and PITA sounds the same to me.

Sounds like you need to get hooked on phonics... they don't sound the same at all.

Another example of minimal brain cells and a massive inability to master the English language. Did the e-mail writer graduate from anywhere? Grade school?
How can people who speak and write so poorly expect anybody to take them seriously?

"Birk said Sullivan, who was Pike County's prosecutor from 1983 to 1990 and now works as an attorney in Indianapolis, is not currently considered a suspect in Deffendall's death."

troll -- no one cares

Look up PITA at www.acronymfinder.com.

I never understood animal rights and animal rights advocates. It has always seemed to me that animal righs advocates are nothing more than tyrants who use animals as an excuse to attack and abuse humans and human lives.

Today, millions of people around the world, including the united states, are beaten, tortured, placed in prison, and hunted down because " they dont worship, respect, or treat animals right."

It doesn't shock me though.. Humanities history shows us that people have always come up with ways to attack their fellow humans over. Even for ideas as crazy as "witches", "Jews", and "animals".

After all, if you can brutalize, place in prison, and kill people in the name of animals, then killing "witches" and "jews" seems to make alot more sense, doesn't it?

All Hail Animal Rights!!!
