Deal Pending? Downtown Indy Parcel Remains On State's Surplus List

Forsale_7Since it's a darned slow news day, does anyone know the latest on the State's plan to market this valuable piece of property in Downtown Indianapolis? The parcel has been listed since last summer. At that point and several points thereafter, Meridian Asset Development has had dozens of surplus properties registered for sale or lease, but this is one that's stayed on the list through at least two requests for proposals.

Currently, the parcel's status is "pending" on the website.

I think you'll want to see this.

No one wants to lease the land under the State's terms and conditions so it will continue to sit empty and serve as additional parking.
