On The Internets: Howey Political Report Gets A Makeover For 2008

Computer And finally, before TDW turns her attention to things like making dinner and catching up on work from the office, the Howey Political Report has been reborn on the Internets as Howey Politics Indiana.

The site is much easier to navigate, and there's a lot more free content to be had. (One complaint: The URL is a tad difficult to remember.)

Check it out.

Did anyone notice the poll at Howey's?

Which is the most influential blog in Indiana politics?

* Taking Down Words (35%, 31 Votes)
* Other (30%, 27 Votes)
* Advance Indiana (11%, 10 Votes)
* Frugal Hoosiers (11%, 10 Votes)
* Blue Indiana (7%, 6 Votes)
* Indiana Barrister (4%, 4 Votes)
* Mason's (1%, 1 Votes)
* In the Agora (0%, 0 Votes)

It may be redesigned, but you still can't comment or read other people's comments. That makes it essentially useless as a blog. Howey just doesn't get the Internets.

Howey is getting too national-oriented. I want to read him for Indiana political news. Who cares about his take on national politics - that's straying from his mission.

I enjoy reading thoughtful blogs, but Howey is a legend in his own mind. I don't know how he keeps making money considering he's wrong more than he's right.

Maybe it's all those Abdul Show appearances.

Point of note... The site is still in mid-transition, and the regular url of http://www.howeypolitics.com/ will return in the next few days.
