Last Minute Campaigning--P.S. Have You Voted Yet?
It was just announced that Stevie Wonder will be joining Barack Obama for a concert/rally at American Legion Park this evening @ 7:30pm. Know of any visits/events going on?
Barack is campaigning in Raleigh right know and Hillary just sent out an all-call for volunteers tonight and tomorrow.
Where will the two watch results?
Post your info here.

Word has it that Barack will be watching from North Carolina, and Hillary will watch from the Murat.

'they could have improved the schedule a bit to keep the crowd more excited.'
Agreed, 10:32. The gates opened at 7:15 to two lines of people, who by 6:00 were in queue for a few blocks around the ALM. It was impressive and inspiring to see so many coming together. Everybody was excited.
Then no one came on until Andre did about 9:00, and Stevie got the crowd going good with a few songs but Barack didn't show until quite a bit after, around 10:00.
The several hundred supporters closest to the stage were unable to move around or sit, plus there were a few minor showers which literally put a damper on things. No concessions or water, either.
It sure could have been better planned but all in all, it was a great experience.

The Obama rally was a bit odd. I've attended them in other states, and the folks in other states were nearly in a riot of support at the end. Ours was a bit lackluster.
However, the candidate and not the built-up emotion is what is most important, and that man has my vote and then some. The Atlantic had a great article on Senator Obama a few months back that really brought clarity to the man and his importance to our country now. He is a symbol and a sign of hope, and this is what motivates people to change their government. Clinton has good ideas, but she does not inspire the type of hope that will bring about real change. Hers is a remnant of the Vietnam era that caused such division in this country. She will have such Republican animosity against her, she will never get a thing done. Obama is not of the Vietnam era...he is divorced of its divisions, and accordingly can bring Americans back to a country of oneness and greatness.
Remember...the politician can't do it...only we can! And a politician who get the people active and engaged is the means by which we will do it!

Obama had a nice turnout for the rally but they could have improved the schedule a bit to keep the crowd more excited. And why did they keep the spotlights pointed at the crowd the whole time... nice lighting for a TV shot, but blinding the folks who stood in the rain to see Barack was a bit much.

Can you say Indiana Health-care Crisis?
The Wall Street Journal's Health Blog picks up on a Health Affairs article co-authored by the Family and Social Services Administration's Mitch Roob, “From 1999 to 2004, Indiana had also experienced the second largest decline in employer-sponsored healthcare coverage in the nation and has seen a 30 percent increase in the number of uninsured since 1990.”

I just saw Hillary's latest commercial. If I was wavering . . . that's all over now. I don't know what Senator Clinton's definition of "pandering" is, but I know my own. Her latest commercial is as offensive as it is shameful. Not only will she cut the Federal gas tax, but she'll "bring down gas prices"? Why not promise every voter a new Prius while you're at it?? Desperate is as desperate does. GO Obama!
