Dear Blackford County: A Belated Apology From Mr. Miller

Department of Agriculture Director Andy Miller has apologized for the snappish letter he sent Hartford City in September.

Call TDW crazy, but it seems unlikely that any of us would be able to sustain a relationship if we apologized for being rude two months after the fact. More than likely, we'd be sleeping on the sofa for two nights before crawling back with flowers and candy. To Andy's credit, he said the right thing:

"'Our intent was pure, our method was flawed,' Miller told the commissioners. 'If we had it to do over, we would've done it differently.'"

It's just that he might've said it a little earlier on in the game. Both to seem sincere and to not have another negative media hit about something that would otherwise have been water under the bridge.
